Karen Scott Happer Initiated and produced the SOLD OUT charity event at the Plantation Golf and Country Club, Venice, Florida Featuring ice-skating super-star, Nancy Kerrigan, at a ladies luncheon for “Our Mother’s House” November 18, 2020.
For many years, Karen has served as a marketing consultant with Judy Lerner's sports promotion company, AYS, for the Citi Taste of Tennis events in Indian Wells, Miami, Washington and New York. The Taste of Tennis is a one-night special featuring the 30+ top chefs in each area preparing their featured dishes with lots of famous professional tennis players. Karen negotiated & serviced sponsorship agreements with CopperGel for the 2019 Citi Taste of Tennis events in Indian Wells and New York City, which included the introduction of World Heavyweight Champion, Mike Tyson, as an attending celebrity. The 2019 Taste of Tennis event in New York had 1,000+ attendees.
Karen & AYS promoted Taste of Tennis Australia in Melbourne starting in 2009. On January 16. 2020, Karen and AYS returned to Melbourne to promote a new very special "Master Class" Citi Taste of Tennis event just prior to the 2020 Australian Open. Champagne Tennis® was responsible for procuring famous Australian television personality, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, and the famous Australian Grand Slam Champion, Pat Cash, to host and serve as Masters of Ceremony for the event. Citi, the players, the Chefs and the attendees loved it!
Karen traveled to Indian Wells CA for the Citi Taste of Tennis in Indian Wells which was scheduled for March 6 just prior to the BNP Parabas Open men and women's tournament in Indian Wells which was scheduled for March 9-22, 2020.
As a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Citi Taste of Tennis and the BNP Parabas Open in Indian Wells were cancelled just prior to commencement. Two weeks later the Citi Taste of Tennis event scheduled just prior to the Miami Open was likewise cancelled.

On March 10, 2020, while in Indian Wells, Karen and Champagne Tennis® organized the launching of Brett Connors' new Podcast with Jimmy Connors and Mike Tyson personally both in Indian Wells who engaged in a large variety of interesting topics in comparison of their careers at the very top of their respective sports. Lots of folks at the hotel watched and listened as these two world champs shared their experiences and lessons learned.

While in Australia in January, Karen & Champagne Tennis® began planning for an exciting new joint promotion with the Australian Turf Club scheduled for October 19, 2020 at the Royal Randwick year round Racetrack in Sydney in advance of the “The Everest” race, which is the world’s richest turf race for 12 horses for $14 million. The details of this exciting new promotion are scheduled to be finalized and announced soon, subject to Covid-19 directives.
